This coming Saturday night will be the State Championship Scratch Race. Come to Race...Come to watch...Bring the kids and have a blast! This is sure to be some exciting racing.

Wednesday nights will now host an orientation class for new-ish track riders. If you know anyone that's interested in trying out track riding, there will be someone available at the track on Wednesday nights after 6:30PM to show them the ropes. The basics will be covered, from bike fitting to fixed gear riding, and velodome markings. For more information email me.

The 2nd Fastest Mile TT was held on the velodrome September 29, 2007. Grant Potter (Herbalife) was a showstopper as usual. We had a large field including hard-core trackies, first-timers, and those who excel at both track and road. There were many levels as well, with everything from CAT5 to Pro. Photos are here. Track Racing at the Brian Piccolo Park Velodrome is in jeopardy. Low attendance for both State Championship events, and frequent cancellations of the weekly training race series are putting a serious damper on track racing this year.

We need an infusion of fresh ideas, racers and sponsors to help out in any way they can. Watch this space for more information in the coming weeks.
